A serious post for once

Last night when I got home from my lovely retail job, I was watching Mr. Steven Colbert on Comedy Central. It was great, one of my favorite rapper’s- Nas was there with Colbert talking about his petition against Fox news’ Bill O’Reilly.

We are all grown ups here at this blog. We have the ability to think for ourselves and most of us know, there is always going to be some type of bias regarding media.

It’s just a tad annoying when I read blog posts like this.

Let me say first, I am all about Freedom of Speech. So by all means, say what you gotta say playa.

But it’s funny when very right winged minds get discouraged and start pointing fingers.  If you read the blog, dude starts out by pointing out how the media is biased and inaccurate. Ok, I’m with him. Then, starts hating on Obama for all the media coverage he’s received (Obama must have bought out the press, right?). To end it, the blogger calls Obama arrogant based on an article that’s posted online…by the media…the same biased, inaccurate media the whole rant started off about.

So I’m confused. The media is wrong when it covers liberals, but right when it is conservative.  I guess Nas is wrong about Bill O’Reilly too…

    Fickle people crack me up.

I don’t care what a person’s stand is, as long as they’re able to back it up, without contradicting themselves.

Didn’t you know? It’s TOTALLY cool to post about conservatives. But liberals? Oh no. That’s just wrong.

Yeah, the media really sucks sometimes.

I saw the Nas episode as well and I really enjoyed it. The media and hypocrites suck. Ignore them.

My favorite political truth: the Republicans and the Democrats are both out to screw us. The difference is, the Republicans are willing to take us out to dinner first.

I’m not really sure exactly what that means, but it’s funny.

I love how people are upset because the masses finally have a candidate who they like. It’s fucking unreal.

Watch out, Obama is a communist Muslim. People trip me out, but those types of things make me laugh because they border on ridiculous. Btw, whatever happened with hot coworker girl?

It is always good to see people just who finds my blog. Thanks for the link.

    :)

I just didn’t feel like creating links to the articles Google News has been feeding me in the majority of 3 or more of the 8 sections in my daily news dose which fawned over the Obamessiah. It should be apparent to most who keep up with the news that I chose only to highlight those that I found breaking the mold on that particular day.

I don’t have a problem with Obama as a man, I’m sure he’s nice personally.

I have a serious problem with his opinions, beliefs and ideology, and as such it is not hypocritical to point out the issues. Indeed it behooves me to do my small part to make others aware of the problems I see with what Mr. Obama wishes to do with America were he to gain control of the reigns of this great nation.

Heh, I actually can write a straight sentence that doesn’t sound like I’m on drugs… apparently that first line wasn’t one of the better proofs though.

    I disagree…

I think it is, in fact hypocritical to blame the media, then go back and cite the media.

and good luck on informing everyone on the evils of Obama. I felt the exact same way the last time Bush got elected.

sometimes there is nothing you can do.

Did you hear the follow up to this story on NPR? Apparently, someone went and counted the number of times Obama and Mc Cain were mentioned in print in a specific period of time… because this is by far the best use of everyone’s time (she said with tongue firmly implanted in cheek). Can’t they find something more substantial to whine about?
